Lab grown diamonds are atomically the exact same as an earth mined diamonds. They are made in a lab under extreme pressure and cut to shape. The benefit of this is the minimal impact on the environment that mining diamonds incurs. For the untrained eye- the differences between lab and natural diamonds will go undetected.
As far as budget goes, you will get more for your money when purchasing a lab grown diamond. If you want something impactful and show stopping that is still affordable- this is a great option. You can find virtually any cut and size whereas natural diamonds have more variation in cut color and clarity. With the rise of gold I suggest to my clients to focus on weight of the ring if you are looking for an added lux feeling. It's often an overlooked aspect of custom design but it can be really impactful for the owner.
